Copywriting Tip From My Dog, Aggie
It was just after 4 pm when it happened.
Aggie and I were walking back from the dog park after work, when she found her favorite patch of grass in a neighbor’s yard …
Got her belly really nice and low …
And proceeded to do “zoomies” on the grass — leash attached! — for about 7 or 8 minutes.
It was funny at first.
But eventually, I couldn’t get her to stop.
Now, Aggie has had a LOT of training. I invested both financially and with my time to make sure she grew up a well-behaved, socialized dog.
And because of my great full-time job and working as a copywriter, I was able to take a few hours “off” every afternoon for a few months and spend that time training her.
It paid off. Handsomely.
But lately, Aggie has been in a bit of a … regression.
Bad focus, poor recall, easily distracted.
The issue is this: Although I’ve spent countless hours training Aggie over the last year, if I don’t “reinforce” the training every so often (with oodles of treats), it’s easy for her to forget.
Pretty common for younger dogs I’ve read.
But the same is ALSO true for copywriting. Or really any skill.
That’s why even though I am a big ‘ol sEnIoR copywriter with quite a few years of experience, I STILL pay for copywriting training, books, info products and more.
Currently I’m going through John Bejakovic’s Copy Riddles program. (It’s closed now, if you’re wondering.)
And let me tell ya … it’s an AMAZING program.
I’m only about ¼ of the way through now, but I’ll share my honest review of the course when I’m finished with it.
Which leads me to my next point.
I recently launched a little micro course of my own.
It’s called “A Perfect Copywriting Storm.”
It’s not an expensive course by any means (less than $20). But it is useful.
It gives you the 5 copywriting “building blocks” you need to become an unstoppable copywriter.
Soon, I’ll be sending out a link to the course.
And yes — there will be an option for you to not pay the cash cost — and instead, “steal” the course from me.
More details in a few days.
