This TikTok “copywriter” is dangerous
My deity. Do not go on copywriting TikTok.
I was scrolling through it this morning and I think I actually lost brain cells.
The problem with copywriting TikTok is that so many of the videos pitch copywriting as a “get rich quick, no experience needed” side hustle.
And they claim you can start making money fast, without having any qualifications.
I mean, I get it. It’s human nature to want more for less.
But these videos make me want to crawl under a rock while I wait in horror for the emails the copywriters of Gen Z will produce.
Here’s the on-screen text from just one of the videos I saw.

Uuuuh.
I can’t imagine this fella is doing a GOOD JOB or making GOOD MONEY with copywriting if he can’t even spell “experience” or “side hustle” correctly.
Seriously, copywriting TikTok is rife with videos like this.
Perhaps the only sound (though basic) piece of advice from that entire video is that you can make good money with copywriting, provided you do a good job.
Well no duh, dingus.
My point is this: Copywriting is not the get rich quick side hustle that social media wants you to believe.
