WTF is the “Maverick Effect”? 🛩️

Most people wouldn’t actively choose to stay in on the last warm Saturday night of the year, but that’s exactly what I did last night.

See … I spent the week training. Hard.

I hit the rock gym four times, systematically working my way through every v2 on the wall.

Then I did two long runs with Aggie.

So by Saturday night, my body was toast.

I decided to stay in … and rent Top Gun: Maverick.

(Say what you will. I loved it.)

And the best scene in my opinion was this one. But it also contains a fascinating form of proof that I’ll call the “Maverick Effect.”

In case you haven’t seen the movie, a little context:

Tom Cruise’s character, Maverick, is training fighter pilots for a near-impossible mission.

Each pilot runs the test course over and over, but not a single one successfully finishes.

The pilots eventually give up hope, and Maverick is relieved from his post as captain because of it.

But the next morning, he decides to run the course himself to show the other pilots that it is, indeed, possible.

Of course, he does so flawlessly … and to much applause from the other pilots.

Essentially, Maverick is providing a form of proof so powerful it cannot be ignored.

I won’t spoil the rest of the movie, but this is exactly what I mean when I talk about providing proof.

Especially proof of what you can do as a copywriter.

Now … the old way of thinking is that your portfolio is the best form proof you can provide to a potential client.

I call B.S.

Most clients and employers want to see more than just writing samples. They want proof that you fully comprehend the strategy behind your copy.

Perhaps you want to learn how to provide that form of proof?

Lucky you, that’s exactly what I’m going to show you in my new blog post:

The “Client Cloner” Strategy: How to Turn ANY Copywriting Job Into 2 Jobs Almost Overnight

In it, I reveal the secret behind 2 key forms of proof that you must provide to potential clients when you’re trying to land a job.

I genuinely have not seen this presented as a complete system the way I show you in this post, and I think you’ll love it.

You can find the link below … but I also want to make you a deal.

I also want to give you access to an exclusive 28-minute landing page copy critique I did for a business owner on my list over the summer …

For free.

In exchange, I simply want you to share my blog post with my target audience of other copywriters.

Here’s what to do:

  1. Read the post here: https://www.stealthiscopy.com/blog/client-cloner

  2. If — and only if — you find it valuable, share the post with a copywriting group or forum you are a part of.

  3. Take a screenshot of you sharing it and email it to me (you must be signed up to my email list), and I will send you the 28-minute landing page critique. Make sure to reference this post when emailing me.

Like I said, this is a really cool strategy for tapping into new clients that I haven’t seen presented before as a complete “system.” Anyone you share it with will love you for it.
